This page features enlarged photos of the evidence obtained from the sheep kills from late1998 near Melton Mowbray.

 

The first photo is of the remains of the animal killed in the pictures of the scene featured before. As can be seen , very little exits apart from bones and wool and the head was recovered some 200 metres away! (all this damage occurred in one night) All other kills were very similar, with scant remains the next day.

 

The second photo is a close up of the above fleece( from the inside). The claw marks caused by the wool being pushed in loops through the animals hide can be seen to the bottom right of the fleece
